SA Disability Care is a privately-owned organisation delivering support services to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients/participants. SA Disability Care offers home care services such as Community Nursing, Disability Services and Aged Care services in a systematic way to individuals, families, and the communities.

Job Brief
At SA Disability Care, we owe our success to people and processes. An Administrative Assistant is the supportive force behind both, and we are seeking someone exceptional to take the helm. They will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who has excellent communication skills and impeccable attention for detail. The candidate should also have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks, and providing support to coworkers, and has ability to multitask.
The office administrator ensures smooth running of our company’s office and contributes to driving sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- Supervise administrative staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance
- Provide administrative support to senior leaders, including email correspondence and generation and distribution of memos, letters, spreadsheets and forms
- Maintain filing system, contact database, employee/client list, and inventory
- Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for the upper management
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
- Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software , etc
- Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in business/ office administration or relevant field is preferred.
Preferred skills, qualifications and clearances
- College degree or equivalent
- Previous success in office management
- Experience managing budgets and expenses
- Experience developing internal processes and filing systems
- Comfortable handling confidential information
- NDIS Check
- DHS (DCSI) - Working with Children Clearance (Child related employment screening cleared)
- Current and valid unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License
- National Police Check (NPC)
