Who are you?
To be successful in this role, you will preferably (though not essential) have experience in a legal administrative position, or a genuine interest in an administrative role in the legal industry. You’ll have strong MS Office proficiency, impeccable organisation and self-management skills, and at least 50 wpm accurate typing skills. We also value a sense of humour and the ability to make the office an enjoyable and friendly place to work.

What does a standard week look like?
- Answering calls, preparation of correspondence and liaison with clients
- Filing (physical and electronic) and diary management
- Collecting mail and groceries for the office
- Electronic filing of court documents
- Attending court to scan or print documents
- Deliveries and collections within the CBD
- Attending to client needs when attending the office
- Billing (using Affinity)
- Preparation of office morning or afternoon teas
- Any other ad-hoc administrative tasks as your skills grow
The Traineeship
As part of this entry-level role, you will complete a Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal) / Legal Services. A prerequisite of this is that you have not previously completed a Certificate III or higher qualification already. As part of your usual duties, time will be set aside each week for you to be able to study to complete the necessary competencies needed in house. To be suitable for this role, you will require a genuine interest in the legal profession, have proficient written and oral English and a willingness to learn.
