About the opportunity
The Administrative Officerat the Centre for Continuing Education is actively involved in the provision of administrative and logistical services in support of the Centre's public and corporate programmes. The role involves the setup of learning spaces, the day-to-day management of a computer lab, distribution of online learning resources, administering online classes set up, responding to requests for updating learning materials and software, answering queries, catering and liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service and maintenance of the facilities. As the first point of contact for the building, this role requires strong communication and organisational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of logistical activities.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- provide administrative and logistical services to the work area
- provide administrative support to maintain facilities
- provide general administrative services and customer support
- maintain records and reporting for the work area
- undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities.
About you
- tertiary qualification and/or the equivalent in training and experience
- ability to prioritise workload and work across multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- advanced Microsoft Office skills, confidence using multiple information technology platforms
- attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and numeracy
- demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
- proven customer service experience in a client focused environment
- proven verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
