About the role
The Administration / Property Officer role provides an essential service supporting the everyday running of the police stations within the Moorabool / Golden Plains area. The usual place of work will be at the Bacchus Marsh Police Complex at 115-117 Main Street, Bacchus Marsh. However, you will also be required to work at other locations within the Western Region Division 3.

As the successful applicant your duties will include:
Undertake a wide range of administrative duties including the maintenance and management of various records and registers within the Western Region Division 3
- Collection, distribution and recording of incoming and outgoing correspondence and police briefs within the region.
- Archiving and records management.
- Management and administration of the storage of the Station lost and confiscated property and confidential documentation.
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries from both internal and external key stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Travel and work within other police stations within the Western Region Division 3 area as required.
- Working in a team environment that is inclusive of all staff at the station.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Proven administrative experience particularly in relation to word processing and data entry.
- An understanding of warehousing and or archiving systems.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written and the ability to communicate with all stakeholders relevant to the role.
- Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines.
- The flexibility to move between work locations on a regular basis.
Requirements and relevant information
- One Ongoing, part time (60.8 hours a fortnight) VPS2 position available.
- VPS2: $56,834 - $72,985 p.a. plus superannuation (pro rata for part time).
- The usual place of work will be within a Bacchus Marsh Police Station However, you may be expected to work out of any location within Western Region Division 3, as required.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
