Hourly Pay: $35.71 + super
Location: Dandenong
Hours Per Week: 38 (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)
Employment Type: Casual (open to extension)
Position Overview: As a Parking Compliance Officer, your primary role is to serve the community and uphold the amenity of the municipality for residents, traders, and visitors to Greater Dandenong. This involves:
Enforcing Parking restrictions under the Road Safety Act & Regulations by educating and advising the community on parking/compliance matters, especially with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Assisting in the maintenance of Parking infrastructure and monitoring offenders when necessary.
Conducting regular data transfers between handheld units and network systems, ensuring accurate Patrol Records.
Preferred Skills:
Prior parking compliance experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Certificate IV in Local Government Compliance or equivalent OR demonstrated experience in a Customer Service role, preferably in compliance/enforcement fields.
Key Requirements:
Competency in using modern technology for regulatory/enforcement tasks.
Strong commitment to serving the public and working effectively within a team.
Flexibility to work a roster covering hours from 6am-9pm, weekends, and overtime as required.
Satisfactory Police and Working with Children checks, a valid Victorian Driver's License, and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory. A Functional Capacity Test is also required before employment.
