Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Administrator, based at George Fisher Mine. This role will be on a permanent contract on a Monday to Friday work roster.
The Role
In this full-time position, you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of administration support to the Mining Technical Services Department Manager and the Mining Technical Services Team. We offer a unique opportunity for you to join an innovative and dynamic team along with the ability to assess and implement improvement initiatives through the division. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa and directly reports into the Manager – Technical Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating department travel arrangements
- Booking and coordination of visitor site visits
- Developing and applying administrative systems and processes for continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensuring all office inventory levels are maintained
- Liaising with the administration team across site on ad hoc and planned projects
- Organise, attend and minute meetings
- Collate and organise information for use in conferences, presentations and reports
- On-boarding of new starters in collaboration with HR
- Co-ordinate and liaise with contractors and other similar service providers
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
- Previous experience in administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and knowledge of SAP/Ellipse and BSafe is desirable
- Manual Drivers licence
- Excellent customer service delivery and organisational skills
- The ability to meet set deadlines and prioritise activities where required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and high problem-solving skills.
