Position Summary
Admissions and Triage Clerk- Women's Emergency Care (WEC)
  • Part time (24 hours per week) Ongoing Position
  • Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available
  • $58,443 - $63,996 (Pro Rata)+ salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave
The Royal Women’s Hospital is one of Australia’s oldest and most distinguished hospitals dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of womens and newborns, offering specialised services within the maternity, neonatal and women’s health. The Women’s Emergency Care, provides direct clinical care for over 28,000 women per year with emergency maternity and gynaecology problems, including emergency care for newborns who were born at the Women's and are less than two weeks of age. The unit also has a key role in providing education and training for local, national and international health professionals.
We are patient-centred unit with our focus on the clinical wellbeing of our patients. We recognise and support women to manage any psychological, psychosocial, social, and socioeconomic concerns that may impact on their health care.
About the role
In this role you will support the team by providing administrative support to the Womens Emergency Care team, and assist in daily functions of the Unit.
A regular day will see you:
  • Data entry into Electronic Medical Record
  • Patient identification and registration.
  • Admission of patients using IPM
  • Connection of televisions through the hospital (out of hours)
  • Liaising with Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedical staff
About you
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Be comfortable dealing with the public, displaying a professional and caring attitude
  • Be flexible and able to multitask while maintaining quality data entry
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including night shifts and weekends.
