Flinders University Academy aims to be the pathway provider of choice for students seeking to study a University Degree in South Australia. As a wholly owned, independently run subsidiary of Flinders University, the Academy delivers Flinders University’s suite of pathway courses – ELICOS, Foundation, Diploma and Pre-Masters – using innovative teaching techniques within a highly supportive environment.

About the Role
As a Team Member of Flinders University Academy, you will be responsible for a range of tasks relating to the admission of international students to the Academy. You will deliver a high level of service to both prospective international students and international education agents including the assessment of applications, and issuance of offer letters.
The position is a casual role to deal with current high demand and may suit a candidate seeking flexibility with workload and with work schedule.
You will require a well-developed understanding of all aspects associated with the international student purchase cycle including enquiries, assessment, recruitment strategies/campaigns and Key Performance Indicators associated with the relevant team.
More specifically, you will be expected to:
- Identify and respond to enquiries, and where applicable manage issues arising from enquiries from prospective students, recruitment agents and University staff in a timely manner.
- Assess and respond to student applications through the application life cycle appropriately applying admissions policies and guidelines.
- Manage ongoing relationships with the Academy’s International Recruitment Agent Partners.
- Support the development of new initiatives in the Academy.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders in relation to applications, including academic equivalence, credit transfer, quota programs and other arrangements.
About the Person:
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to the delivery of high-level customer service including contributing towards a strong client-focused team environment.
- Well-developed computing skills including the ability to effectively utilise web and computer-based systems and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of programs, and experience in the use of CRM systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with international students, including the ability to communicate appropriately in a cross-cultural working environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal oral and written communication skills that contribute to effective operational processes and building constructive relationships.
- Knowledge of University program structures, academic policies and procedures, and the ability to interpret and apply University policies and procedures where relevant
- Well-developed organisational skills including demonstrated experience in meeting operational objectives for ongoing and specific tasks/projects in a complex business environment.
- A general understanding of the ESOS Act, Government visa policies and the National Code as they relate to the assessment and issuance of international student offers.
This is a casual position.
Prescribed Conditions for Employment
It is a requirement of this position that the incumbent maintain a current Working With Children Check which is satisfactory to the University in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA).
A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
Flinders University has introduced a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy that requires all new staff members to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations, subject to medical exemptions and limited exemptions.
