Opportunities exist for experienced Registered Nurses/Midwives to be appointed on permanent part time basis to the role of After-Hours Hospital Manager to further complement our existing management team.
About the role….
This is a pivotal role in the day to day after hour’s management of the hospital responsible for clinical leadership and management, human resources and materials management. The After Hours Hospital Manager is also expected to act as a mentor and role model for other staff.
About you….
This role requires a motivated, capable Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife who is able to work as part of a team, has excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills and has knowledge of relevant professional standards.
It is a requirement that the successful applicant is competent in advanced life support or willing to meet this requirement as a matter of priority with support from the Hospital.
Essential skills & competencies:
- Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post Graduate qualifications or experience in Intensive Care, HDU, A & E Nursing and/or Midwifery are desirable (or working towards same would be highly regarded)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Developed problem solving skills and ability to promote a harmonious workplace.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and compliance with hospital code of conduct and policies.
- Acts as a respectful and exemplar professional role model and mentor.
