Sales of our aftermarket parts account for a significant portion of the profit margin for Howden Australia and our customers demand fast response timeframes and knowledgeable support. As a result, we have an immediate need for an experienced Aftermarket Project Coordinator to join our busy team.
You will be responsible for project managing our Aftermarket spare parts orders in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You will engage with all required stakeholders, including vendors, customers and other Howden departments and entities, to meet our customer's order requirements.
Whilst achieving the above, you'll also strive to continuously improve our on time delivery and project margin and the quality of support offered to our customers, ensuring a positive experience each and every time they deal with Howden.

What needs to be done?
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Process customer orders within agreed timeframes and deadlines and company criteria
- Liaising with customers on project requirements and project status. Escalate any risks/ issues to your Line Manager
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and procurement of spares by keeping the data in our ERP system up-to-date
- Administrative diligence - accurately, efficiently in a timely manner prepare required documents and seek to continuously improve office procedures
- Strive to achieve our on time delivery (OTD) and invoice recognition targets
- Provide support to all sections of the Aftermarket department when required
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and other internal and external stakeholders
- Embrace continuous improvement and apply the use of the core company values
What do you need to bring?
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to interact and communicate effectively with all stakeholders (customers, suppliers and peers) with tact and diplomacy, and with a high level of cultural sensitivity.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working on ERP system (preferably Microsoft AX)
- Minimum of 1 year experience working on purchasing or aftermarket department
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure while keeping a positive and result- driven attitude
- Negotiation skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy
- High level of PC literacy, especially MS Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
The following would also be highly regarded:
- A certificate III in business administration or a similar qualification.
- Understanding of rotary equipment (fans, compressors) and process application
- Dealing with demanding customers and demanding priorities
- Identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness, streamline activities and procedures, overcome obstacles and to utilise resources more effectively
