- Core business hours are Monday - Friday 2.00pm - 10.00pm
About the role:
The Afternoon Shift Warehouse Manager is responsible for the successful stock movements from trucks to the Freezers and vice versa. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor will ensure timely and accurate organisation of stock, reporting of maintenance problems, internal control procedures, and workplace health and safety concerns and provide both guidance and support to their peer(s). The position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, self-motivation and feedback to management. Please note the hours for this role are 2.00pm - 10.00pm.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage stock control: retrieval and timely delivery of goods (loading and transferring)
- Planning, organising and controlling of the staff of the warehouse operations
- Ensure warehouse is presentable at all times.
- Monitor stock control.
- Monitor loading and unloading of trucks.
- Monitor 25 - 30 staff and providing best practice direction.
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are being met and report any areas of concerns to the OH&S Manager.
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with all external stakeholders/suppliers/customers/truck drivers.
Experience / Licenses:
- Previous experience in a similar role/capacity. Cold storage warehousing would be ideal but not necessary.
- Strong planning, coordinating and organisational skills.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
- Excellent people and process skills
- Hands-on approach with a high attention to detail
- Ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
- Forklift license and experience is preferred.
