Agricultural Machinery Sales Specialist

Vater Machinery is an established Viticultural and Agricultural Farm Machinery Dealership located in Nuriootpa. In order to support the Dealership’s continued growth, we are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and self-motivated sales professional to join our team.

Reporting directly to the Company’s Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent long-term customer relationships and generating strong Machinery Sales. This diverse role will involve undertaking, though not exclusive to, the following key Responsibilities:

·         Complete sales cycle customer management, from initial contact, to completion of sale, finally to maintaining ongoing after-sale customer engagement

·         Arranging product demonstrations and promoting new products and enhancements

·         Energetically pursue new sales opportunities whilst concurrently maintaining existing client base

·         The achievement of agreed sales targets

·         Provision of sales status reports at weekly in-house sales meetings

·         Attend to and resolve customer problems and complaints

·         When directed, attend Sales Training and Sales Seminars

Ideally the Applicant should possess the following Personal Attributes:

·         Relevant experience an Agricultural Machinery Sales Consultant or equivalent

·         Possess an affinity with the rural environment

·         Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to multi skill and to work under pressure

·         Potent and effective relationship building skills

·         Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills

·         The provision of excellent customer service

·         Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

·         Ability to utilise the skills of initiative, reliability and discretion

·         Enjoy working in a team environment whilst capable of working individually

·         A readiness to continually learn and improve self
