98.1 Power FM are on the hunt for a passionate new Announcer / Operations Manager to contribute to our Upper Hunter operations based in Muswellbrook.
Located in the beautiful Hunter Valley in NSW, Power FM and 2NM are commercial radio stations with a very strong focus on localism. We do this by involving ourselves within the community and focusing on the things that matter to them. Amidst the country’s finest wineries, world class thoroughbred horses and only a few hours from Sydney, this is a great place to live and work.
About the role:
- Know how to create and execute local, entertaining content that connects with the under 40’s demographic.
- Work closely with the Content Director, Sales and Promotions to ensure tactically we are coming up with great ideas to generate listener engagement, sales and digital opportunities.
- Ability to form guide stations quickly while achieving desired messaging and client commitments.
- Have excellent presentation and administrative skills with a high attention to detail.
- The ability and willingness to be a team player and jump in where and when needed.
- Willingness to fill in on breakfast and other shifts for annual and sick leave.
- Be able to setup and execute Outside Broadcasts with minimal supervision and always to the benefit of the client.
About you:
- Experienced and proficient in an on-air role on radio.
- A basic knowledge of digital media products including social media, content marketing and digital audience engagement.
- The ability to execute sophisticated content and promotional strategies.
- Experience in the use of Zetta, G-Selector, Audata, Google and Microsoft's suite of programs.
