Eden Ritchie is seeking a Manager to support the department to provide housing assistance, homelessness support services, local government support and advice, state and regional planning, public works building and design and industry regulatory reform.
You will be part of the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Housing and Homelessness Services which is the liaison point for the Director-Generals’ and Minister’s offices. You will use your knowledge and skills to provide coordination of workflow for Housing and Homelessness Services and have oversight of the Deputy Director-General’s administration functions.
You will be responsible for providing integrated advice on strategic, operational and corporate governance issues impacting within and across the Division. You will manage the operations of the Office of the Deputy Director-General to ensure quality, professional services to senior management and the Office of the Minister.

As the Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide an effective liaison on behalf of the Deputy Director-General to branches of Housing and Homelessness Services, the Office of the Director-General, other areas of the department and external stakeholders.
- Provide professional and timely advice to the Deputy Director-General on strategic and operational issues associated with housing and homelessness services.
- Coordinate information and documentation requiring Housing and Homelessness Services responses and contributing a strategic perspective, where appropriate, on behalf of the Deputy Director-General.
- Obtain relevant advice and maintaining liaison with key areas of Housing and Homelessness Services to ensure timely resolution of policy and procedural matters referred for action.
- Attend meetings and participating in forums on behalf of the Deputy Director-General, accompanying the Deputy Director-General to meetings and actioning recommendations as required.
- Undertake special projects of a complex, sensitive and contentious nature as assigned by the Deputy Director-General
- Actively participate in and contributing to the good governance and objectives of the service area and the department.
- Oversee the management of the office.
- Manage additional staff and activities, as required.
- Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
