Custom Built Fences (CBF) are currently looking for an Apprentice in Engineering (Welding / Metal fabrication) to join our team.
Working with qualified and skilled welders you will gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support. Our team is like a family. We value a strong sense of camaraderie.
CBF specialise in high-end custom made and designed metal gate and fencing solutions and automation. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, quality workmanship, innovative design, and a friendly workplace.
We primarily do aluminium and steel mig welding, occasional tig Welding and stick welding.
Hours: Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm, overtime available.
Duties will involve:
- Performing measurements
- Apply welding principles
- Use workshop machines for basic operations
- Carry out mechanical cutting
- Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment
- Packing and loading jobs onto truck.
- Going on site occasionally to perform onsite welding/installation.
- Maintenance of facilities.

Suitable applicants must have a genuine interest in pursuing fabrication as a career path, be motivated and willing to work hard to get trade qualified.
The successful candidate will undertake Certificate III in Engineering. Attending safe 1 day per week and will get paid for that day.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
