Pinches Group is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as an Apprentice Fitter and Turner or Boilermaker on a full-time basis. Up to two positions are available.
We are looking for a motivated, committed, and reliable person who has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training to gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade.
1st - 4th year apprentices, including mature age applicants are encouraged to apply.
In this role you will learn:
- Machining in the fields of turning, milling, slotting, drilling and boring
- Drilling, ancillary duties, grinding, pedestal grinding
- Measuring and marking out
- Disassembly and Reassembly of machinery
- Welding
- Overhead crane/Forklift use
To be successful in this role you will need:
- The ability to read drawings
- Ability to work methodically
- Practical trade skills and/or relevant pre-apprenticeship
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to complete tasks independently or as a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements
Full-time hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm in Reservoir, VIC.
