Beaumont&Beaumont have been engaged by our client to recruit a number of Redress Officers at the APS5 equivalent level to work within a major Commonwealth Government Department in Canberra.
The successful candidate will join a team working with a Scheme created in response to recommendations by a Royal Commission. They will join a diverse team and work collaboratively to provide a service to clients, requiring candidates to have a high attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively and clearly. The successful candidate will also be provided adequate training and services to ensure they work effectively and efficiently.
The successful candidates will be expected to manage aspects of the end-to-end process for applications under the Scheme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct detailed research and analysis to correctly associate participating institution’s and identify nonparticipating institutions.
- Prepare complex requests for information packages.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Work independently, with high attention to detail, to meet individual and team targets.
- Ensure the timely progression of applications to support trauma informed best practice.
The ideal candidate for this position is able to respond flexibly to change and maintain a constructive approach to problem solving. Furthermore, they are able to demonstrate empathy and understanding and communicate effectively in a trauma informed way.
We are looking for someone who is able to:

It is a requirement by the client that applicants are willing to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance. Candidates must also be willing to obtain a Working with Children (NSW) Check and undertake a psychological assessment, if required.
