The Procurement Officer, will form part of a multidisciplinary team within our client's Finance, Procurement and Assurance Team and play a key role supporting our client by providing procurement expertise and assisting stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives.

The APS 4/5 equivalent Procurement Officer will be required to:
- Conducting thorough reviews of procurement documentation, including purchase requisitions, quotations, and contracts.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Verifying accuracy and completeness of procurement documents, including pricing, specifications, and terms and conditions.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues in procurement processes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and clarify procurement requirements.
- Establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including liaison, negotiation, and consultation.
- Providing high-level administrative and procurement support and managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements and contributing to the continuous development of procurement processes.
- Providing internal and external stakeholders with quality and timely advice.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required to review and prepare documentation.
- Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
- Previous experience in government Procurement.
- Stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Professional document writing experience.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Good research and analysis skills.
- An understanding of government procurement and financial processes would be beneficial.
