Aps 6 Procurement Officer

Complete Staff Solutions is currently recruiting for an APS 6 Procurement Officer for our Federal Government. On offer is a contracted role from March- until 28 June 2024 with the possibility for further extension.

About the Team:

The STS Taskforce is working with business and across all levels of government to deliver the most significant whole-of-government cross-border trade reforms in more than a decade. Work at the STS Taskforce is fast-paced and presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate, design and deliver whole-of-government outcomes. The STS Taskforce is entering an exciting phase as it transitions from discovery and planning to reform delivery.

Your duties as the new APS6 Procurement Officer:

The Procurement Officer will be responsible to ensure the procurement activities align with the Taskforce deliverables, budget, and governance structures. 

This will include:

• Provide relevant and accurate advice on financial management, financial policy, procurement, and contracting matters.
• Undertake financial administration and analysis including financial and procurement reporting
• Assist with internal budget maintenance, including mid-year review
• Assist the Taskforce in procurement and contracting requirements, undertaking audits to ensure compliance and improve data integrity
• Develop and maintain good communication channels with relevant stakeholders to facilitate and deliver on the requirements of the Taskforce
• Contribute to the team’s innovation and continuous business process improvement and identify risks and business opportunities.

• Formal qualifications and/or experience with legislative and governance frameworks and best practices with regards to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

Eligibility Requirements:

****Successful applicant must currently have a minimum-security clearance of BASELINE  and hold at all times during the contract****

• Obtain a cleared Police check performed within the last six months.
