We are seeking experienced Processing Officers to join a Federal government department in a 12-month contract based in Brisbane CBD.

About the role:
As an Income Support Officer you will be working in a team that is responsible for processing claims for service pension, qualifying service, income support supplement etc. and performing assessments for Aged Care purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Process routine updates to clients circumstances and assist with client enquiries
- Management of Income Support mailboxes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and maintain all facets of Income Support including screening, calculations, escalations and client correspondence
- Registration of Income Support claims and aged care assessments and requesting additional information/evidence
* Processing various types of casework with minimal supervision - Report to management weekly on quantity of registration activities
About you:
We are looking for an experienced admins with exceptional customer service skills. The ability to demonstrate empathy and patience for individual's circumstances is essential. Ideal candidate will also have:
- Strong processing and investigation skills and the ability to assess heavy documentation.
- Experience working within the healthcare sector, claims, injury, finance, community services is highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to follow process, policy and legislation
- Resilience, a sense of humour, an analytical mind and a proactive attitude are all essential
- Proven experience picking up internal software's and sounds knowledge of MS Suite.
