Our team is growing and an opportunity has arisen for a mature minded individual to join our VPS team in a pivotal patient and clinical support role.
THE HEART OF THE ROLE:
To provide unwavering patient-focussed support within the practice through coordinating with our clinical teams, administrative managers and most importantly, the patients and surgeons. Our patient support team are essential operators who ensure the various teams of Valley Plastic Surgery can operate seamlessly and effortlessly for a superior patient experience.
Key aspects of the role include:
- First point of contact: You will often be the first point of contact for our practice, whether in person or via the telephone. You may have to answer complex patient enquiries.
- Patient Appointment Management: This key area includes making patient bookings and scheduling appointments, making all surgical bookings and tracking the patient’s journey through the clinic, ensuring a professional service is experienced all times.
- Scheduling Optimisation: Check the weekly schedule for accuracy of surgeon’s preferences for consulting. Fill empty appointments from waiting list. Resolve any discrepancies.
- Hands-on: We believe in professionalism, a team spirit and embracing a “can-do” mindset. Therefore, it is important that you are willing to roll up your sleeves when need be.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Proactive approach to workplace tasks, with the ability to work self-sufficiently on the task at hand.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and data management skills.
- Ability to follow practice protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
- You are able to manage several responsibilities at once. This is a dynamic practice and you’ll be routinely switching between tasks, so attention to detail is required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar type of role. A strong understanding of clinical operations within a healthcare practice is strongly preferred (previous experience with Genie software is desirable).
- Reliability, enthusiasm, maturity and an ability to adapt to change.
This is a full-time position equivalent to 38 hours per week. Hours are rostered between 8:00am and 7:00pm.
