- APS5 $56.00 and APS6 $63.00/per hour + super

Overview: As our organisation continues to grow, the complexity and volume of procurement and contract management activities have significantly increased. To manage these critical functions effectively, ensure compliance with legislative requirements, streamline procurement processes, and maintain high standards of service, we are seeking the services of three Procurement Officers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement and Contract Management:
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract management.
- Ensure procurement activities align with organisational goals and comply with relevant legislation and rules.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Manage contract negotiations and oversee supplier performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline procurement processes.
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to understand and support their procurement needs.
- Act as a liaison between the procurement department and other business areas.
- Formal Qualifications and/or extensive knowledge and experience in procurement and contracting.
- Proven experience in procurement and contract management within Federal Government.
- Familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant legislation.
- Baseline security clearance
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
- Proficiency in Finance Management Information System (FMIS – CI Version)
