APS6 Senior Program Officer
You will bring the following experience to your new role:
Supporting the provision of Secretariat services to multiple senior Executive interdepartmental committees, including but not limited to planning, scheduling, briefing pack preparation, coordination on action items etc.
Supporting the mapping of business processes, stakeholder engagement, workshopping
process outcomes and coordinating stakeholder input, rollout of protocols across the Division
Oversight or risk management across the Division, engaging with Branch representatives as required, mapping risk management activity, scheduling milestones and planning.
Corporate support and coordination functions as required.
promote and implement programs administered by the agency
maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver program services and build service delivery capability
attend interagency meetings and forums to obtain and share information
assist with strategic planning for programs with a particular emphasis on addressing the service delivery needs of different community groups
provide expert advice to staff and stakeholders regarding policy, procedures and programs analyse and report on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance indicators and
quality assurance to assist the local leadership team in managing overall performance
contribute to relevant business and people planning and develop local strategies to improve against key performance indicators
prepare draft reports, briefing papers and Ministerial correspondence for review by senior staff
EL1 Assistant Director- Program
oversee the implementation of programs administered by the agency and report on program
performance to ensure ongoing program effectiveness
manage the implementation of operational, policy, procedural and customer service initiatives as they relate to service delivery programs and related change initiatives
provision of Secretariat services to multiple senior Executive interdepartmental committees, including but not limited to planning, scheduling, briefing pack preparation, coordination on action items etc.
mapping business processes, stakeholder engagement, workshopping process outcomes and
coordinating stakeholder input, rollout of protocols across the Division.
negotiate, engage and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver program services, build service delivery capability and promote the agency's services
Oversight or risk management across the Division, engaging with Branch representatives as required, mapping risk management activity, scheduling milestones and planning
build relationships with key customer cohorts, local community groups, third party organisations and networks and identify opportunities for partnerships
provide high-level program advice, procedural guidance and interpretation to staff including strategic advice to the Executive where appropriate develop and implement work area plans to meet demands and respond to change, providing strategic directions for work area and allocating resources
collaborate and build strong relationships with the agency's program branches and key
agencies at all tiers of government to support the efficient delivery of government services
prepare a range of written material including business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation
About you
Strong written skills that are aligned with Government writing style.
High level of experience in a programme management experience.
Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Enthusiasm and initiative to input ideas and follow direction.
High level of attention to detail.
A commitment to support and promote relevant government objectives.
You will be an Australian citizen and ideally hold a security clearance (Baseline)
Desirable skills
Experience using Sharepoint, developing content and implementing new tools using PowerApps.
Experience creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
