As the Area Sales Manager in your defined Townsville territory, you will drive profitable retail newspaper sales for all News Corp Australia publications. You'll actively plan and execute all national, state and regional sales priorities in line with the governance board outcomes and work independently to analyse the territory, identify and implement sales growth opportunities across all retail channels.
- Drive revenue through retailer/reader offers across high priority independent retail channels
Develop and implement territory plans for all Mastheads to capitalise on local market opportunities for our customers
Build strong relationships with existing and new customers within the territory
Plan and execute the Call Cycle priorities for new and existing customers within the territory
Work with Area Logistics Manager to develop key distribution agents within the area
Provide Retailers with sales support and business development initiatives in line with National Retail Development plan
Where applicable work in conjunction with Retail Support to ensure a positive customer experience
Work collaboratively within and across the State teams sharing successes and opportunities
Will be a brand ambassador and always strive for premium merchandising space and collateral to be displayed in all accounts across your agreed territory.
Who are you?
- Value the customer experience and do everything in your power to ensure customer satisfaction
Around two years' experience in a similar role
Strong commercial acumen including the ability to use business data effectively to achieve results
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with a very professional customer service focus
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail
Tertiary qualification in Business/Marketing desirable but not essential
