About us
The Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group (AGLG) is not for profit community organisation that coordinates land care planning, river restoration, bushland management, community action and community awareness programs. The Group has been running since 1996 and consists of three staff members, community groups, residents, landowners and volunteers.
There is an opportunity to join the team in a Coordinator position who will lead the organisation to facilitate the repair of natural areas in the Upper Canning and Southern Wungong Catchments, whilst educating and promoting the environment to the community.
What You Will Be Working On:
As the Community Landcare Coordinator, you will be responsible for executing the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Strategic Plan and Business Plan. You will be instrumental in the planning, scoping, development and implementation of large multi-stakeholder environmental projects.
You will have a direct impact and influence on improving the water quality and biodiversity value through the revegetation and restoration of river foreshores and bushland.
You will be participating in regional Natural Resource Management initiatives and represent the organisation in regional and sub-regional planning workshops.
As the Community Landcare Coordinator, you will be able to work with a passionate and engaged community to make a tangible difference in local environmental management, whilst supporting the ongoing good governance of a not for profit community organisation.

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful:
In this role, you will provide support to internal and external stakeholders on various aspects including organisational governance, marketing and financial activities as well as provide technical advice in environmental management and natural resource management. Your specialist leadership will play a crucial role in supporting the AGLG to make a positive impact on the community.
- Having a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or equivalent.
- Possessing experience in business administration.
- Proven experience in leading large groups from the community and volunteers to deliver outcomes.
- Has exposure to managing grant funding arrangements.
- Possession of Working with Childrens Check or the ability to gain one.
