About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and passionate Arts Learning Officer - Woodwind Tutor to join the CAPTIVATE team on a permanent part-time basis.
Woodwind Tutor – 1 Day per week (Permanent Part-Time position)
The Woodwind Tutor undertakes the following responsibilities:
Provide instrument-specific teaching to students both in small groups and, where requested, individually on a weekly basis both during school time and before or after school depending on spacing availability and student timetables
Provide regular feedback to students and biannual reports to parents
Provide instrument-specific knowledge to develop ensembles in both rehearsal and performance before and after school
Provide instrument-specific knowledge to support the work of the Specialist Teacher in the delivery of classroom-based band programs on a weekly basis during school time
Willingness and ability to deliver the classroom program when the assigned Specialist Teacher is away
Lead ensembles and workshops under the guidance of the Specialist Teacher both during school time and after school
Provide assessment, maintenance and cleaning, tagging and logging of instruments
About You:
To be successful you will demonstrate alignment to our purpose and values, together with:
Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback
Demonstrated ability to work creatively and constructively to support diverse need
Qualifications and accreditations:
Relevant demonstrated experience
Working with Children Check clearance
