In addition to the manufacturing of our underground support vehicles, we have a significant presence in the Defence manufacturing industry, and provide electrical harness solutions within a number of industrial sectors.
Due to internal career progression, we are seeking an Assembly Supervisor to join our well-established Yellow Iron team in Wivenhoe.
About the Role
As the Assembly Supervisor, you will lead, coach, and develop the personnel assembling our mining support vehicles to ensure each contributes effectively to the team's achievement of department goals and objectives related to safety, quality, takt time, and performance.
As the Assembly Supervisor, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but not limited to:
- Implementing LEAN principles and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and audit relevant company metrics
- Communicate any potential roadblocks that affect deliverables
- Liaise with team members daily to ensure the broader team understands and can meet the required delivery schedule.
- Ensure that all Standard Work/Work Instruction requirements are adhered to and are revised, updated, and communicated
- Optimise workflow within the assembly department
About You
You will have a keen eye for attention to detail and quality. You can develop and maintain strong positive customer relationships (internal & external). You can adapt to changing work priorities while remaining calm and organised. You will display high motivation to develop your team through coaching and mentoring whilst being able to learn from your experienced team. You should also be able to optimise day-to-day activities while minimising the costs.
