The roleWe're looking to add an Asset & Connections Lead to our collaborative, experienced and innovative Digital Field Services team.
The Asset & Connections Lead plays a key role in managing the Asset & Connections Team. Primarily, this role is responsible for ensuring our fleet is maintained and meets regulatory requirements, inventory and warranty processes are managed, and new connections requests are processed efficiently. The metering fleet significantly contributes to billing accuracy and the subsequent delivery of the best customer experience.
Who are you?You're a people person with leadership qualities that have been strengthened from your experience in customer service and/or administration, ideally in the water or utility sectors.
Your experience in leading a team in a complex and changing environment will set you up for success in this role, as you lead, motivate and inspire the Metering team and provide alignment with South East Water's strategic direction. As the escalation point for the team, you're competent in applying effective team leadership and people management skills in day-to-day activities to ensure your team delivers the required outcomes.
An understanding of the principles of Water, Sewerage and recycled water assets will be beneficial, as is knowledge of the Water Industry Act, Water Act, Customer Contract, Privacy legislation, Trade Practices Act, National Measurement Act, Meter Utilities (Metrological) Act, and the ability to apply to customer enquiries.
You have strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your organisational and time management skills, partnered with your general knowledge of accounting principles and budget techniques allow you to manage projects effectively. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills will be essential for identifying metering business process improvement opportunities.
