Assistant Accountant

An exciting opportunity for a full/part qualified Assistant Accountant to join a fast growing consumer goods business in the CBD.

About the role Our client is looking for a switched on and energetic Assistant Accountant to join their accounting team. The role will be best suited for someone who wants to get their hands on all round accounting responsibilities from managing transactional tasks, to being involved in both financial and management accounting. The business is growing at a rapid rate, and will be able to offer this person internal progression as you develop.
The responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Management of Accounts Payable functions and AR
• Business Partnering with stakeholders internally and externally
• Monthly general ledger account reconciliations/assisting with month end process
• Assistance with effective cash flow management
• Management of Tax function including FBT and GST
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register
• Assist with the reporting of P&L statements and balance sheets
• Additional Ad Hoc

The successful applicant will have

• Tertiary qualification in an accounting or business background
• Studying or completed your CPA/CA
• Exceptional communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Exposure using a large ERP system
