Due to our continued success and growth, we are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Head Office.
Duties:
Reporting directly to a supportive Senior Financial Accountant, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career. Ideally, you will commence as an Assistant Accountant, and as you develop your skillset, evolve into a General Accountant. Key responsibilities will include, but will not be restricted to:
- Entering invoices and processing payments
- Maintaining supplier records
- Expense analysis and reporting
- Assisting with month end process
- General ledger maintenance
- Bank reconciliation
- Preparation and processing of adjusting journals
- Maintaining and developing relationships with BDM's and Store Managers
- Assisting the CFO & SFA with adhoc duties
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience as an Assistant Accountant.
- Must have excellent English communication skills to communicate with different stakeholders in the business
- Degree in accounting and CPA/CA preferred but not essential.
- Strong eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent computer literacy in Excel
- Able to take on challenging duties as well as routine tasks
- Must possess strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
