Assistant Accountant

Your role:

Assist with all required finance functions including but not limited to:

• Processing accounts receivable and payable transactions and other journal posting
• Bank account and other ledger reconciliation in line with required timelines and targets
• Phone line monitoring, response to queries and redirection as required
• Central email inbox monitoring, response to queries and redirection as required
• Cash collection and banking
• Debtor collection and escalation when required
• Assist with month end close process
• Management of other ad hoc tasks as required
• Document SOPs and keep an eye out for process improvement and automation opportunities
• Leave cover for other team members to ensure continuity of service
• Identifying areas where you can lend a hand to help the Aussie Traveller business achieve its goals

Who you are:

You're a finance professional with a diverse skill set and eagerness to continually learn and grow, in particular:

• Comfortable wrangling large data sets/transaction volumes
• Experience with excel modelling (index match, Power Query, Power BI) and automation tools
• Accountability and responsibility to deliver in a fast paced environment with high transaction volume
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, you understand the importance of maintaining good relationships with customers and suppliers
