Job Description The Opportunity Due to internal promotion, we are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant on a fulltime, permanent basis. The RoleThe primary purpose of the role is to provide support to the Senior Management Accountant in producing timely and accurate monthly financial reporting relating to Arc Infrastructure.
The key duties and responsibilities of Assistant Accountant are:
- Assist with the month end finalisation process including performing analysis of key drivers to explain any variances vs budgets for both profit and loss and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare bank reconciliations and update monthly cash flow forecast
- Ownership of assigned account reconciliations to be performed on a monthly basis
- Posting of period end journals and associated processes
- Preparation of compliance and statutory reporting related ABS surveys and BAS
- Assist with timely upload of payroll data into Arc's ERP system
- Support AR function including invoicing and debtors control
- Assist with processing utility bills and bank payments
- Support the finance team during the annual budget process
- Other duties as requested by Senior Management Accountant supporting general accounting duties.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Degree in Accounting
- CA/CPA working towards
- 2 years minimum experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Experience with mid to large size ERP’s
- Excellent communication skills across different stakeholders
