AddressWe are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Accounts Payable & Receivable for a portfolio of properties and assisting the finance department with accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and willing to assist the team where needed.

About the role
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support the audit process
- Provide support to other members of the accounting team as needed
About you
- Completed or studying towards Diploma or Degree in accounting or related field
- 2-3 years’ experience in the property sector will be highly regarded.
- Recent experience using MRI, Nexus or similar systems.
- Advanced excel skills are essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a can-do attitude.
- Pro-active, energetic, driven, and self-motivated.
This full-time role is based in our national head office currently located in Edgecliff, and soon to be relocating to our brand-new offices located in Double Bay in the coming months.
