AddressLocated in Alexandria, our client is looking for an ambitious and energetic Assistant Accountant to join their accounting team of 4. The role and the business is suited to someone who is flexible, pro-active and multi-tasking, and can manage effectively and with a sense of urgency in a high achieving and fast moving environment. The role offers great opportunity for an eager individual with at least 1-2 years in a fast paced accounting role, who is eager to expand their knowledge and learn more.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:
- Undertaking daily reconciliations
- Assisting with month end reporting
- Support multiple entities and bank accounts
- Assistance with effective cash flow management.
- Assisting with the reporting of P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Fixed asset register
- Assist with Accounts Payables and Receivables
- Other month-end processes
The successful applicant will have
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field
- At least 2 years experience in an accounts related role
- Experience with high-volume invoice processing
- Ideally studying toward your CPA/CA
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task whilst juggling a large number of tasks
- Experience within a retail environment (beneficial but not essential)
