What you'll do:
As the Assistant Accountant, you will work directly within the GL team to support the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller in various critical functions such as month-end processes, statutory compliance, budgeting, and audits. Additionally, you will:
- Ensure all reconciliations, including banking, credit card, and expenses, are accurately completed for all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage debtor invoices and fixed asset registers.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
- Supervise Accounts Payable procedures.
- Oversee imported stock and foreign exchange transactions.
- Manage fleet vehicle registers and FBT returns.
- Handle payroll payments and reconciliations, including workers' compensation, superannuation, and payroll deductions.
- Prepare monthly Business Activity Statements.
- Contribute to monthly management reporting.
- Provide assistance with audits and budgeting processes
Who you are:
We're seeking candidates with a degree in Accounting and ideally part or newly qualified CA/CPA, or candidates in the process of obtaining their CA/CPA with full support provided.
