Assistant Accountant Sydney CBD Permanent Role - Full Time Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + Super (+ Incentives) Hybrid working Cox Purtell is currently working with an exciting independently owned multi-generational family enterprise, a B-Corp certified organisation, with a rich and varied history. We've been retained to recruit a highly competent and motivated Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in completing accounting and financial activities and transactional requirements in an accurate and timely manner. The role is varied, provides opportunities for growth and the organisation has a passion for learning and development, with financial support also available for this. Your Area of Responsibilities: This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performance culture, and you will be an integral part of the Finance Team, assisting with duties such as: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
Complete banking for all entities including bank reconciliations.
Accounts payable administration including processing and paying supplier invoices, sending remittance advices, statement reconciliations, corporate card reconciliations and staff expense re-imbursements.
Accounts receivable administration including tenancy billing, aged debtors' maintenance, and allocation of AR receipts.
Month End Duties:
Processing all payroll related journals.
Accounting for rental incentive and deferred income.
Processing fixed asset entries (acquisitions, disposals, depreciation).
Accruals analysis.
Prepayments.
Intercompany.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Compliance:
Audit support.
Taxation support including preparing quarterly BAS.
Your Profile: The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role and be used to working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Accounting degree at minimum is required.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all areas, but especially when processing transactions.
Must be able to work at pace across a variety of different tasks.
Experience with accounting systems is ideal (mostly Sage 300, SAP Concur, Praemium and IBM Cognos TM1).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A passion for learning, a proactive nature and able to use initiative to resolve queries.
