We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team (between 30 to 38 hours per week), based in Mirrabooka. This role works with our diverse finance team and supports the Aged Care, Retirement Village and Homecare services and operations.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Processing fortnightly payroll for around 300 employees
- Lead the Payroll preparation with both site Roster Admin officers from submitted rosters approved by facility managers.
- Work with internal stakeholders including managers for timely approval of roster and other payroll related activities
- Provide support that ensures the integrity of payroll processing
- Submit all notifications, payments and reports required by statutory authorities and ensure compliance with superannuation and taxation legislation
- Attend to queries from employees on matters relating to pay
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required.
- Aged Care / Disability industry payroll experiences is desirable.
- An Undergraduate Accounting degree is essential.
- Payroll processing experience on a computerised payroll system
- Payroll software Caresystem experience is desirable
- Knowledge of computation of all payroll components and employment entitlements
- Proven time management and work organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Good interpersonal and communication
- National Police Clearance (obtained in last six months)
- Evidence of Influenza vaccination (or be willing to obtain)
- Full working rights in Australia.
