An opportunity is available to join a SEQ Residential Building Company based in Brisbane South side at Eight Mile Plains. We are seeking an experienced, full time Accounts Assistant to join our professional and friendly team.
The successful applicant will need to have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, good organisational skills and have a background in and sound understanding of the building industry. A friendly demeanour and a “Can Do” attitude is a must to fit in and be part of our team environment with a strong work ethic and the confidence to make decisions under pressure with a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Timely preparation and processing of sales tax Invoices
- Data entry
- Accounts receivable assistance
- Accounts payable assistance
- Credit card payments
- Reconciliation
- Prioritising needs of our clients and workloads to meet KPI's
- Filing and record management
- Administrative tasks involving Project Handovers
- Working closely with the Accounts Manager, Administration Team and Contract Supervisors and Operations
- Assisting in the running of the office and the administration side of the business
- Ad hoc tasks as required
The successful applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under high pressure at times.
Applicants will need the following to be considered for the position
- Have a background in and understanding of the building industry an advantage
- Experienced in and a background understanding of Accounts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Xero Software experience is an advantage
- Microsoft Office experience
- Data entry experience
- Touch typing skills an advantage
- Strong work ethic
- Strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and committed to achieving high standards for our Business and Clients
- Initiative and drive to work independently and be an excellent team player
- Ability to forward think and show initiative
- Must maintain a professional appearance at all times
Immediate start available. The position is Full Time on salary. Hours of work are 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
