We are seeking an Assistant Accountant who is responsible for supporting the Director of Business and Finance in the management of the financial operations.
Your new role
- Responsible for end-to-end processing of accounts payable.
- Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliation.
- Assisting the Finance Director with payroll processing, BAS, FBT and fixed asset management.
- Responsible for Month End duties.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
- Assist with the annual audit process.
- Other general and ad hoc duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant tertiary education or diploma in accounting or commerce (highly desirable).
- Minimum or 3-5 years' experience in a similar role in the education sector.
- Industry experience within the education sector is highly desirable.
- High level of proficiency with Excel and experience with TASS is desirable.
- Current QLD Blue Card is required prior to commencement.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
