We are seeking an Assistant Accountant who is responsible for supporting the Director of Business and Finance in the management of the financial operations.

Your new role

• Responsible for end-to-end processing of accounts payable.
• Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliation.
• Assisting the Finance Director with payroll processing, BAS, FBT and fixed asset management.
• Responsible for Month End duties.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
• Assist with the annual audit process.
• Other general and ad hoc duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant tertiary education or diploma in accounting or commerce (highly desirable).
• Minimum or 3-5 years' experience in a similar role in the education sector.
• Industry experience within the education sector is highly desirable.
• High level of proficiency with Excel and experience with TASS is desirable.
• Current QLD Blue Card is required prior to commencement.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
