Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our team. This role calls for someone with strong transactional service and numeracy skills, a positive disposition and exceptional business acumen. In this role you will be responsible to provide support to the Finance Transactional Services Team with end-to-end accounts receivables, weekly settlement process, accounts payables, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Qualifications
About You
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a Transactional teams' environment
- Strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles including GST and WHT compliance according to ATO guidelines
- Experience on complex general ledger reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with detail-oriented mindset on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts and complete the tasks independently
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of computerised accounting systems as well as Microsoft Office/Windows environment
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, treasury instructions, accounting principles and practices applicable to the position
