As we grow and expand our business, we are on the hunt for a Assistant Accounts and Payroll Clerk to join our team to coach, develop, and inspire our team members. You will ensure and use best practices for stock and inventory in order to support multiple departments within the business and external customers.

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accountant. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing accounts receivable and payable processes, including debt collection activities. You will also be required to assist and perform Payroll duties occasionally. This is a full-time position that offers room for growth within the company, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in accounting. Administrative experience is desirable but not required.
Responsibilities:
Accounts:
- Daily Banking
- Controlling and monitoring of Caravans Floorplans
- Payments of creditors, raising invoices to pay, floorplans and refunds
- Finance invoices
- Debtors
- Journals
- Reconciling multiple bank accounts and ledgers
- Preparation and running of monthly reports to all stakeholders of the business i.e. Month end financials and other general reporting for accounts
- EOM closing off process for accounting system
- End of year financial reporting
- Miscellaneous accounts payable/ receivable tasks
- Accounts system Configuration
- Demonstrated ability to maintain monthly journals, depreciation schedules and asset registers
- Managing registrations/ transfers/ disposals
Payroll:
- Payroll from start to finish process inclusive of interpretation of Awards (35 employees -Weekly Payrun) This is inclusive of the following:
- PAYG Tax
- Superannuation
- WCOMP Payments and process
- EOM/EOY processing, System Configuration (Payroll aspect)
- Payroll reporting
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll. (Minimum 1 Years)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous dealership or Pentana experience (EraPower/Eralink) is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Prior administrative experience is desirable but not mandatory.
