SalaryEdward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a large convenience chain based in Fortitude Valley. It is a temporary position with the potential to move into a permanent position, paying up to $50 p/h inclusive of Super but flexible for an outstanding candidate.
Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team and play a vital role in the company.
The position will be supporting the Finance Manager in a number of key areas of financial reporting, compliance and maintenance of the general ledger.
Key Objectives
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Month-end processing
- Journal preparation and posting
- Assist in preparation of BAS and other ad hoc reporting
- Assist with daily bank reconciliations
- Assist with interim and Annual Audit
- Back up and support as directed or in absence of Finance staff.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- Studying towards CA/CPA qualification (those not studying will still be considered
- Strong communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
