CW Products has an exceptional opportunity for a talented, hard-working and success driven Chartered Accountant (or CPA) with experience working with the manufacturing industry, where accelerating their career within a fast-growing and dynamic business excites them. The role will be mentored over a 12-month period to transition from Financial Accountant to Financial Controller as part of a succession plan transitioning the current Chief Financial Officer to retirement.

Today, CW Products has distribution branches around Australia, with its head office and manufacturing plant and warehouse in Murray Bridge, South Australia.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Structured mentoring and coaching program to transition to Financial Controller within 12-months.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Oversee and prepare the annual financial budget and prepare financial forecasts for the business.
  • Ensure standard product costs are maintained and up to date.
  • Undertake customer and product profitability analysis.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure.
  • Oversee AR management including credit risk management.
  • Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and general cash flow, working closely with the Procurement Manager regarding inventory purchasing requirements.
  • Prepare BAS, Payroll Tax, Return to Work, CSA and PAYG Reports.
  • Manage business risk management and appropriate insurances.
  • Temporary support with Payroll processing and AP.
The Ideal Candidate’s Experience and Skills:
  • Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered Accountant (essential)
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a professional environment (consulting) or within a business.
  • Manufacturing exposure (strongly preferred) and ERP system experience (desirable).
  • Strong focus on customer experience, improving outcomes and delivery.
  • Exceptional team player who will fit a strong values-based organisation.
  • Dedicated and hard-working with a strong orientation to action and results.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration including highly effective skills in the areas of negotiation, interpreting, and articulating financial data, and coaching and supporting others.
  • Highly developed written communication including preparing reports.
  • Strong focus on accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and flex to meet the needs of stakeholders and drive organisational change and improvement.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and achieve career progression.
  • Some exposure to mergers and acquisitions/due diligence beneficial
