The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and also working with the CFO you will perform a broad Assistant Accountant role. This is an important role within the finance function. Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be restricted too:
- Accounts Payable
- Daily banking reconciliation
- Weekly cashflow reporting
- Credit card processing
- Intercompany invoicing
- Month end journals (accruals, prepayments)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Debt collection (as required)
- Finance department inbox maintenance
- Other tasks as required by the Finance Manager or CFO
- Financial Reporting
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a broad Assistant Accountant role. You will be happy to work in a hands on transactional capacity, performing AP and AR tasks but will also be keen to perform more complex tasks such as cash flow reporting, month end journals and financial reporting. You will have a relevant Commerce Degree. You may or may not be looking to commence a CPA or CA. You will have first class organisational and time management skills and will be tech savvy. Prior experience with Excel is important, and exposure to Xero would be ideal.
