SalarySindhi Group is seeking an energetic Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team based in Acacia Ridge. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to the financial success of the business, and be part of a small but dedicated team.
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the role will be responsible for a range of financial reporting tasks to achieve reporting, analytical and financial objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance to bookkeeper - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
- Ensure compliance with various financial regulations, including Superannuation, Payroll tax, BAS reporting, PAYG reporting, FBT, and work cover
- Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and recommendations for improvement
- Adapt to and drive change initiatives to enhance financial processes and efficiency
- Supporting the team with various tasks
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making processes
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Complete any other ad hoc duties
Qualifications required
- Completed a degree in Accounting or Commerce
- Currently studying or looking to study towards a recognised accountancy qualification
- Sound technology skills including strong excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and deal with a high volume of work in a tight deadline environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior work ethic along with the capability to build and maintain positive relationships with the team
- Must be residing in Brisbane, QLD
- Full-time work rights in Australia
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- High levels of attention to detail with an analytical approach
