Assistant Accountant

About the Role 

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our team and participate in all facets of client management as well as financial and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities include

• Financial management of client accounts including invoicing, receipting and responding to queries 
• Assisting with accounts payables and liaising with external suppliers and creditors
• Assisting with the daily bank account reconciliations
• Assisting with the month end reporting processes including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of month end accounts
• Assisting in the annual budget and reforecast processes
• Assisting with compliance based reports including BAS, IAS and Payroll Tax returns
• Assisting in the preparation of cash flow forecasts

This role is a central point of contact for the operational teams and requires a business partnering mindset.

About You

• Degree qualified - Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or equivalent.
• 3+ year's accounting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in working well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Well developed Xero skills will be advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
