Events ACT is seeking an experienced and motivated person to be part of its Event Development team.
As the Assistant Director for Event Development, you will manage the transparent and efficient delivery of grant programs delivered by Events ACT – along with associated stakeholder communication, consultation and advice. Other key responsibilities include the development and implementation of capacity-building opportunities for the local events and festivals sector, supporting cross-government collaboration, and assisting with the management of research and evaluation for Events ACT’s event portfolio.
This role sits within a high-functioning branch that supports each other in meeting critical timeframes, delivering a high standard of customer service, and providing advice and support to a diverse range of events and event organisers.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Previous experience managing grants programs, research and evaluation programs and capacity building for the events sector in an ACT Government context is highly desirable.
Note: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
