The property based on the Eyre Peninsulat is large scale and produces dryland cereals and canola in a sustainable rotation.
This Assistant Farm Manager role is a very hands-on role working alongside the Senior Farm Manager and directing and supporting both permanent employees and contractors in a tight knit team in a highly integrated business.
A modern hi tech farm running a full controlled traffic system, utilising the latest precision ag technologies and machinery.
Diverse and fast paced you will provide assistance implementing the annual farm plan, driving modern farm tactors and associated spray equipment, managing staff anf contractors, scheduled maintenance programs (machinery and infrastructure), & HSE policies. You will also assist with farm improvement projects, as well as working closely with the Manager and Agronomist on crop planning.
You will ideally be experienced in cropping with an excellent working knowledge of farm machinery and equipment, knowlege of pests and diseases and a leader with junior staff and contractors.
You must also be experienced in modern precision ag farming systems. The role calls for someone who understands the urgency of large scale cereal farming, with an emphasis on forward planning. You must be well organised, methodical and timely.
