About the role
This role will see you reporting to the Corporate Analyst. You will provide modelling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis support to the organisation through the preparation of key financial deliverables.
Our finance team are looking for an experienced and competent Assistant Financial Analyst who is a pro-active thinker with strongly developed interpersonal skills and displays a can-do attitude keeping the community at heart with whatever they do.
What we are looking for:
- You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate and translate technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
- You can bring strength and support to your team but can also work with a degree of autonomy.
- You have experience in presenting technical costing and accounting concepts based on sound research and practical theory that assist the business in making appropriate financial decisions including assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
- You can demonstrate experience in the research, preparation, documentation and reporting of short and long term financial modelling.
- You can confidently establish, document and maintain systems and processes to capture and report financial data as identified in relevant planning instruments and infrastructure agreements to ensure financial compliance.
Minimum requirements:
- A Tertiary Qualification in Business/ Accountancy or related field and experience in delivering financial analysis and services in a medium to large organisation
- Membership or eligibility for membership of a Professional Accounting body (CPA/CA/ACCA) – is desirable
- Ability to successfully pass all background related checks required
