There is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Front Office and guest relations professional to join our team as Assistant Front Office Manager on a full-time basis.

Reporting to our Director of Commercial and Guest Experience, and with a hands on approach, the successful candidate will manage the day to day operation of our Front Office, Reservations and Night Audit functions, whilst developing, inspiring and mentoring our Front Office Team.

In this role you will:

  • Leading the Hotel Front Office operation to achieve a reputation as a market leader
  • Effective supervision of all guest arrivals and departures, ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures and are customer focused.
  • Involvement in recruitment activities such as applicant screening, phone screens, in person interviews, reference checks, etc.
  • Leading onboarding and training of the Front Office team ensuring they are trained in all aspects of their role
  • To develop departmental training manuals and implement department training programs
  • Supervision of lobby services (including car parking and porter services where applicable), ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
  • Daily liaison with the Revenue & Reservations office to ensure accuracy in room allocation and maximising of yield.
  • Preparation of reports as required

Qualifications

  • Experience in Front Office operations, including demonstrated experience in a senior leadership capacity at Assistant Manager level
  • Experience with OPERA PMS or similar a must
  • Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional service standards and ability to lead within a VIP environment
  • Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or related field an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, bilingual or multilingual language skills are advantageous
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid Certificate with CPR required
  • Strong organisational, written & communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment & prioritise workload
